Morocco Philanthropic Projects
Abercrombie & Kent believes passionately that travel should both respect the natural environment and benefit the indigenous people whose lands we visit. A&K ensures that we support a carefully chosen project in every destination where we operate.

Al Karam Association
Al Karam aims to improve the life of poor children in Marrakech who are born into a life of begging, haggling and stealing. The Al Karam Association supports a home for street children in emergency situations and provides activities and education for children living on the street. This allows them to discover independence in their personal development as well as freedom of choice.
Visit Al Karam with A&K
A&K guests are able to visit the home, and if they so wish, they can help to organise interactive activities with the children such as giving a short English class. For more information on including a visit to Al Karam in an itinerary, please contact A&K Morocco.

The Preservation of La Palmeraie
This project extends to planting trees to restore the delicate ecosystem of La Palmeraie, a thousand-year old palm grove outside the walls of Marrakech. Years of drought, building, development and lack of care are being turned around with a regeneration aimed at planting almost a half million trees over the next six years, safeguarding the future of the delightfully tranquil respite.
